Engineer/Product Specialist HPLC

Working in a variety of laboratory environments, an appetite for continuously learning about new techniques, instruments and software is key. Good communication skills, creativity, and a can-do attitude are essential qualities in this role, along with the ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Install and optimise hardware/software products and configurations at customer sites
Diagnose and resolve product performance problems
Perform maintenance and repairs
Calibrate customer equipment according to specifications
Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations to optimise product performance
Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
Provide technical support to customers via phone and email
Maintain contact with existing customers
Follow up of sales enquiries
Identify customer requirements for new systems and provide quotations
Provide training as required
Maintain technical documentation and price lists
Maintain records and input data into cloud based data systems

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a product specialist/engineer role
Expertise with HPLC/SFC
Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving
Excellent inter-personal, self-motivational, verbal and written English communication skills
Demonstrate organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks with different priorities
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers at a professional level and be able to work independently
You enjoy travelling and visiting customers
Clean UK driving licence
